Having fitted a remus revolution end can, generally pleased with the noise but agree with others on the board that it sounds a bit harsh on long motorway runs. So, please excuse the numpty question but how do you remove the baffle? Looking at the two fixings I assume you just drill them out but I don't want to knacker a posh can with mechanical cack-handedness!!
Thanks, Andy

Remus Revolution baffle

You have to drill out the rivet at the end of the can. The baffle just pulls out. My Remus came with some screws, bolts and washers to refit the baffle temporarily and a spare rivet to refit it more permanently. I'd take the can off unless you're really confident you won't slip . . . . and set your drill to a low speed, the rivet is stainless steel.

Baffled?

As mentioned it's quite easy, drill the top off the rivet which is at the outlet pipe, on the underside, images hopefully attached! You should have a bolt to re-fit the baffle for MOT's etc in the pack it comes with. If not the baffle you take out has a threaded bottom piece, just get a bolt to fit it bob's your mum's brother!!

er - won't it be louder without the baffle ?

Don't know for sure until I try it but posts elsewhere on the subject suggest that you get a deeper, more pleasant sound without the baffle that's actually easier on the ears. I'll give it a go and post the results.
Did think about re-fitting the standard end can but that gave VERY loud backfires, despite my best attempts at sealing the connections, often when I least wanted them

Backfires

I had the Remus Revolution and Y piece fitted to my last bike, an R1150R. This banged and popped on the overrun no matter how I sealed the exhaust. There's noticeably less of this from the GS and I can only put it down to the twin spark ignition.
