Questions re: Garmin 3 delux

Hi guys this has probably been asked before, but here go's

Is the Garmin 3 delux able to locate a route/destination by inputting a full 8 didgit post code?


Could I input a post code whilst out and about. IE: away from my PC?


And finaly just how easy is it to use on the bike whilst on the move, and is it compatible with a helmet ear piece?

Assuming you mean a StreetPilot III, no, you cannot search by postcode.

It's fairly intuative, but these days is considered a bit slow. You can use it with an ear-piece.

IIRC then you can't find the post code beyond eg AB1 2 with the next two digits not being able to be entered. You'll have to put a road name in, and if you don't know the house number, use a zero.

BTW I tend to have Autoroute on as well as Mapsource, as then you can locate the full post code.

You'll confuse the newbies! You're talking about the software on your PC - not the GPS
