Whats the year for engine colour change from silver to black ?

If I was in the market for an 1150 I think I'd go for a GSA with standard gearing and not worry about the colour of the engine and maybe Night Black, and go with the ABS option.

I'm not though and will stay with my GS in Mandarin, although I sometime like the idea of that big fecker tank....

I assume you mean the 1200 when you say 'troubled later model'?

GS or GSA, It's your choice really, i like the GSA (30 ltr tank)

ABS EVO II servo assisted linked brakes, STD = STD (?) The later models went to Tokico calipers, earlier ones Brembo. Both good, Tokico are prone to 'sticking' if not used/laid up.

GSA option was enduro 1st gear. Bearly noticeable, unlike the new 1200! Either will do for on road/off.

Smudger:beerjug:

Black engine was an option, SE models silver engines only.
