OK Peeps, im taking the family up to sunny  Scotishland this summer as they are keen to visit after seeing my pics from my adventures ! I would like to know where the bestest quietest beaches are that have access (4x4) and i could wild camp on for a couple of days. I will be travelling up the west coast probably right up to Durness.
I have done a search and Morar and Arisaig get a few mentions but no one is giving much away !!
PM me if you want the locations keeping secret :thumb

Thanks guys

Alan

Type "Oldshoremore" and "Polin" into GoogleEarth - not too sure about wild camping

Further north is Sandwood Bay but I think you will have to walk the last couple of miles

Glenelg has some beaches where I've seen wild camping between the wee ferry and the village..

For some really fantastic beaches, you should cross over to Harris also at the bottom of this page and other outer Hebridean islands... like Bara where they even land on a beach...:thumb2

Although it isn't quiet it is a cracker - Clachtoll beach,

Isle of Mull - Calgarry bay.

Castle Sween campsite...... few miles up the road is a dead - end/forestry gate.

Park and walk maybe a mile off to the right, following the path, to the beach where I spent my childhood summers...

... clams and dogfish all around the rocks..

..sit and cook them on an open fire. on the beach, in total isolation..

:)
