I was just whittering on to Shimster about perhaps meeting at The Mitre for a pint or two (although mines more likely to be a J20 or an appletise so that The Derm can drink ....

anyhoo .....

would anyone like to come and do a quiz night at the Mitre one Thursday evening?

John "Dog" runs them and they're pretty good ... a good laugh at any rate. Any interest?

we tend to go every now and then .... to support the pub more than anything as its running at a massive loss (esp nowadays).

Just thought I'd get a few thoughts ..... if so - give me some dates.

well .... today both Pete and Jay have let me know that they can't come - one with a poorly pup and the other has to work .... no sign of thoughts from our Dave or Chris ..... so it will be our Derm and me and our mate Christel (her other half hates quiz nights ).

and yes ..... John Dog was on good form this evening. Lets hope we can get more there next time and we can trounce the competition!!!


edit: thinking about it ....if others would like to come along ...how about we set a regular date of, perhaps, the first Thursday of each month??? something like that? They're a good laugh and I don't think that would clash with anyone ie The Creek or ought?

SO ... if we think that might work ..the next one will be on Thursday 5th March - same time (8pm onwards to have a natter before the quiz which always starts at 9pm).
