R 1100 GS to 1250 GS

Hi Folks,

Newbie here, can anyone explain different coloured cylinder heads on

the GS range.

Are the heads spray painted or is it a form of anodising to get the

desired results ?

Well I have not got the bike yet ! It will be about 10 days.

It will be an older bike as in GS1100 1995 , I merely asked the question as I

was not sure when BMW started the colour coordinated engine bits.
