R 80 2-into-1 exhaust mod

Hi All,

I'm still fiddling at getting my newly acquired '85 R80 running. I noticed the existing silencers, one either side of the swingarm, are not in good nick and have been welded up and various other bodges.
My question is can the members post what single sided exhaust mods they have made for inspiration? My R80 is just that, bog standard, so a low exhaust mod is fine.

This is an R100R paralever 2 into 1 downpipe / collector box fitted to an earlier model frame & engine.

Very vestigial silencer.

I can report it’s pretty quiet / neighbour friendly, so the collector box must do a lot of the work.

It was plug and play with no modifications required..
