have a set of Ohlins coming in and would like to start them off in the best possible way.

any inmates here have any experience with R&G's Shocktube for the watercooled GS ?

and the sizes ? Is it size 3 (front) and 9 (rear) OR 4 (front) and 10 (rear) ?

thanks.

I think they look pretty fugly but they are functional, you need to realise a couple of things though. Any water that finds its way in will stay there with obvious results for corrosion. They are a pretty good thermal insulator and covered up shocks can get hot with a drop in performance. Probably not smart to use them in the warmer months.

They do have ventilation holes which should prevent that. They are also easily removable so they can be taken off in seconds to allow checking of the shock.

don't know about the R&G tubes, but i used a pair of cordura tubes on my 2 hexheads wilbers for 4 and 3 years.

i did occasionally (once a year, maybe) quickly check underneath them, never saw anything untoward. the shocks came out like new except for very slight corrosion on the rear bottom mount, that was not covered by the tube..
