Hi all,

R100gs/pd with Siebenrock kit 5000k miles since kit

Just been away for a 700 mile long weekend in France. Seem to have tiny oil leak out of right exhaust wing nut that creeps back to fins( small leak).

Anybody help with the cause?

Regards

Chris, jersey

All seems good..i'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks

Undo exhaust fin nut with proper spanner. Wire wool/brass brush the two sealing rings held in by that nut and also the visible exhaust..nice lube with copperslip and tighten right up again. No oil should come from here anyway.....maybe it is wet soot etc just running down ? If it is oil then the rear of the silencer will probably show oil traces as well....bit more serious then !!

Have a look either in the airbox or the RH carb intake - the engine breather feeds into the RH air intake and for some reason it might be putting a bit more oil out than usual, perhaps the sump a little overfilled, or a spell of unaccustomed high revs on a, err, well run in, motor.

All cleaned up now and will keep a lookout on next long run. Otherwise bike running fine.
Many thanks for the recommendations
