R100GS replacment exhaust

It seems that the internals on the exhaust silencer of my R100GS have rotted away and are now rattling around inside the silencer, Does anyone have any recommendation of what replacment silencer to use, l,ve had a look on motorworks but they want £350 for what looks like a pattern of the stock one.

Currently using the stock collector but also have the later Y-piece somewere in the garage.

If you want to keep it standard, s/s keihan is the only way to go

If not..the world is your oyster....measure the collector box exit pipe and see what Jap silencers will fit ( bit like Tarkas green ( ex ) r80g/s in the F S & W section now ).

Shame yours isn't all s/s , could even experiment and cut out the inside edge and remove baffles before welding up again...invisible if all done on the inside edge

If l can,t get hold of one for a resonable price l might give the cutting the stock one open ago though its not going to look that great.

i have just payed £30 to get the side of my silencer welded up.as its slowly rusting away.

Tatters get a magnet and see if yer silencer is magnetic
if it isnt ( therefore should be stainless steel) it would be worth cutting it open on the inside and sorting the rattle out
If yer goowin down the replacing route and yer old un is SS can I offer you a tenner for it

Its Stainless looks like 316 grade, i,ve got some 1,6mm stainless rods for my arc welder so might have a go at getting the crap out and welding it up.
