R100GSPD Import to Uk from Germany

I've looked though the previous posts and learned quite a lot. I have a couple of questions that I'd like some help with please. Is the adac sale contract document available to download anywhere.....especially with the english translation.

I now know that I need an export plate, that will cost me about 120 euros

Can I use my own UK insurance that lists the Bike's vin number?

Can I drive for any length of time in the UK on the export plate (as I will need to drive up from Dover)

Any other info woulf be warmly welcomed

You can usually ride for up to a Month before the DVLA get itchy with you
I don't bother with Transit plates no more, I fetch bikes with a trailer
If you use transit plates you can get insurance on that number from your UK insurer, they are usually quite easy on it.
I always book an MOT at my local {Crediton} Bike garage, and if stopped I'm on my way for a MOT even from Dover,
Never had a problem in over 25 years of importing bikes and cars

Hi Proff, Thanks for the info. One think that with your experience you may be able to help me with............are low mileage PDs in Germany likely to be genuine?. I'm looking at a 93 model having had 3 owners and done 30,000 kilometres.......the guy seems 100%. But it's a long way to travel to be disappointed.
