Hi All,

Hmm...slightly embarrassed but I can't seem to find the above bulbs for my 2008 F650 Twin. I've got the clear lens-silver backing combo. I can't seem to find the bulbs in orange/amber. I've only found 2 results in the search page.

Are R10Ws known as something else?

Should I buy orange lens covers from BMW and use clear/white R10Ws?

Are there any drop-in replacements on eBay that I can use without it damaging the can-bus?

Cheers,
Lab.

Apologies, I think they are also known as BA15S looking at one of the most 2 results from the Search Page.

If anybody can shed any advice on a reputable LED orange drop-in that doesn't affect the can-bus or require resistors or wiring replacement, please let me know?

Cheers,
Lab.

I switched up to BMW LEDs but when i had the incandescent bulb type i used some cheap eBay led replacement bulbs - fairly sure the CANBUS only measures the circuit being made not the actual draw.

I currently use a ceramic front LED parking light (5W) that was not listed as CANBUS friendly however i've never had a warning for it.

If you can swallow the mark up try Nippy Normans for bulbs...

Or you can jump on the farkle train and go with the BMW LEDs which are plug and play and definitely make your bike go faster :augie

Sorry i was being unclear, long day!

The bulbs that i think you were after -

and the BMW LED indicators -

As far as i'm aware LED units (in general as opposed to statistics for this exact part) last anything from 50,000 - 80,000 hours however this really is a case of YMMV - i don't believe these units have been available long enough to draw any accurate stats re on lifetime.

Albeit i can't remember exactly how much they were i got all of them for less than £100 which works out cheaper than the NN inserts. No need for any canbus stuff - just plug and go. Of note - the front and rear are different lengths but left/right interchangeable (when i ordered i initially got four rear ones)

Best,

S
