Thanks for all advice. I've bled system, replaced seals in caliper, cleaned and lubed slides and pin.I've also noticed that when I apply the front brake the rear comes on but I didn't think system was linked.I've also opened the bleed nipples on the ABS modulator but only fluid and no air is coming out. I'm desperate at this stage and considering bringing bike to main dealer....Any advice is welcome and thanks to all who replied.

When you say that the pistons aren't going back, are you expecting the pistons to disappear when the brake is released? Remember that there are no springs inside the caliper, so the only movement is when the seals pull the piston back about 10 thou or so.

When the rear brake sticks on an 1150 it sometimes overheats the disc.

Check the inside of the rubber bevel box boot to make sure it hasn't melted a hole in it.

Are they servo brakes ??

Only linked brakes are the servo assisted models - And they don't have separate ABS modulaters. They have a servo/abs unit.

Thanks for all the advice. It turns out the caliper warped when it over heated on way home from N.W200.Cost me over 600 euros to get sorted at dealer. I replaced the seals but it was too late at that stage.Moral of the story,if you notice your rear brake pads wearing excessivley quick, overhaul the caliper ASAP.
