Hi
Has it sold?Hello!
Due to now owning a 2004 GSA r1150 I have an R1150GS that could do with a new home. (two very similar near identical bikes are just a tad indulgent)
Nicknamed Bertha, she took me to women in moto in 2024, and has been my daily commute bike for 2 and a bit seasons. Multiple trips to the lakes etc. Rear shock was serviced when I got her and a slightly stronger spring added.
Recently serviced/MOT'd with oil and plugs, plus new leads, new speedo cable. Valve clearances done. (over 500 spent) Michelin road pilot 6 on the front, (bought last year due to puncture) road pilot 5 on the back that has miles left in it.
Very clean for her years, and has never let me down. She's good for a season of riding and commuting. She does use bit of oil these days (she's a quarter century old -so we may need to forgive her that) and would perhaps benefit from a new oil filler cap and a de cat (I have pipe just never fitted) She will come with a top box 55 litre givi and the BMW hard panniers with internal bags.
Point to note: the side stand, under tray and centre stand are all GSA so she takes a bit of welly to lift on the centre stand. The centre stand is also slightly twisted (was like that when sourced from James Sherlock) but I do have the GS centres trained - however the longer side stand won't go all the way up if this is refitted (hence my mod) In practice you get used it, but worth a mention.
I'd rather sell her to someone on the forum than Flea-bay or FB market place - so open to cash offers between £1500 and 2k.
If people are of a mind to offer a swap id have to be picky as I've a Ducati ST2 to rebuild, so swaps will have to be Moto Guzzi or Harley Davidson to ease the financial pain of three bikes.
