Hi all,

A quick question........will the calipers from a usa 2004 BMW R1150R bike fit my 2000 model R1150GS?
The reason i ask is that i have a chance to purchase a really low mileage immaculate pair for not alot of money.
The current calipers on my bike have not aged well and need replace despite the low milage my bike has covered.

Thanks in advance

Garry

Probably not the ones you have have big circles with Brembo in them and the ones you are thinking of getting will be the later EVO style maybe tokico or brembo embossed on teh inner face

Not so straight forward as it appears.

There are two types of later caliper, both completely different to the early brembo GS caliper, and both types can be found fitted to the GS.
One of the later BMW Tokico calipers fitted to both GS's and "R"'s has different thinner discs and you can't use those calipers with the wider GS discs.

From what ive seen the mounting centres are hugely different too.
Not as straight forward as i first thought then.............:blast
