Hi guys,

First post on here after trading a 2012 Fireblade for a same year GSA Triple Black. Best move I could have made, but hoping for a little advice.
I've noticed that the 'crossmember' that runs beneath the registration plate and braces the pannier rails is out of true, and sits a good few mm lower on the nearside. The bike is running the full set of BMW / TT aluminium luggage.
Although I know I should just ignore it and ride, it bugs me and I'd like to level things up if possible. Is there any adjustment in the rails that I could take advantage of or are some installations 'just like that'? I've checked the rear lamp / reg plate assembly and that looks straight...
Any help / images of the same set up much appreciated :thumb

Think it's just down to the tube bending on the brace.
If you took it off & straightened the tube on the exhaust side by a couple of degrees in a vice, it would sit level :thumb2

Must admit though, I've never even noticed mine - but it sits behind a Mark Hooton crap catcher - they're cheaper than TT ones (Cymarc - on the adverts on the home page) :D

Loosen nuts and bolts so that the rails are free to move especially the clamp around the footpegs and i am sure you will find a few mm of adjustment.

I'd modify your photo to hide your reg number if I were you. You never know who's snooping around a public forum... :blagblah

I think you'll find it's perfectly even.
It's the number plate that's out of alignment.

Or public car parks, or Tescos, or Devils Bridge, or Willingham Woods, or any other place you may park your bike!

Yeah. Well. Just saying, its known crime. There tends to be CCTV and a relatively limited number of people that see you in Tescos etc. If you're into organised crime and looking for a particular bike year and model, its lot easier to surf the web than look around every friggin car park on the off chance. But then you know all that.

Fully loaded top of the range on a 12 plate...highly desirable...takers anyone?

Fuck knows why I'm even replying actually. You can suit yourself, it was just a friendly comment, that's all :nenau

mine's slightly crooked as well.

amount of sleep lost over issue: none :)

Thanks for all the replies folks. Appreciate everyone taking the time to offer help. I resorted to 30 mins with the socket set and, as suggested, found enough adjustment to level things up. I did move the number plate a touch as well!
