Hello everyone...i discovered that when i make the throttle grip lighter at pulling the bike feels much better... throttle response is instantly..i clean the throttle inside and lube it with dry teflon...also i lube the cables(i know bmw doesn't approve) with dry teflon and they seem work really smooth (i also ordered new ones to replace sometime)Now the bike is much more fun..but i dont want this to be for a short time and when lube dries again the bike feels like bored to accelerate..i think to make throttle body springs for return a little bit lighter and maybe fit a kite accelerator for shorter throttle move (inside cable spliter)

Is anyone experience something like that?
Whats the best tweaks for making throttle smooth and light?

Thanks

it's a great idea - maintaining throttle is under-appreciated. Key is to remove throttle tube and clean and lube it as dirt gets in over time. other than a broken cable adjuster at throttle body i haven't had issues with cables or smooth action

check all ones pre the 2008..... try to brake hard and the lever hits the throttle cable and stops further movement VERY safe - and you need the 2010 throttle grip housing to re route the later safe way above the lever.... (the way the grip and housing bolt on there's no way to make it safe) should be a safety recall. the dealer said well you'd need to be braking hard. I'm like, doh of course !!! that's why its so dangerous, I'm trying to stop not hit things !

(and in case your worried) that's with the lever most of the way out, not starting close, for those with small hands which is even closer to death to start with
