Does any one know if you can 'add' ABS to a non ABS 1200GS.
If so what is the cost / who supplies the kit and can it be done DIY.:blast

Anything "can" be done but this would be cost prohibitive and if your GS has canbus it would be so much cheaper to sell your bike and buy one with it fitted.

Yea - there's all of the computer stuff to get working too - I doubt it'll be 'loaded' so it'll be a trip to the dealer to get the software.

Or spend the money on training ???

Thanks for the constructive comments.
I have a 1200gs with ABS but been offered a GSA without, just thinking about the pro's and con's thats all.
As for the 'training' tip, been advanced trained for 5 years & do 20,000 per year, but only needed the ABS once but it probably save my life ! Everybody needs a little help sometime.:nenau

Lets see -
You will need:
ABS pump.
The ZFE Computer ( the slim black one ) the BMS-K computer will not have to be changed, this is the one with the key code so thats un-effected.
Wiring harness.
All the plumbing.
The brakes limit switches may be different but I dont think so myself.
And a days work to fit.
Not practicle but sounds like fun.

... a couple of wheel sensors and reluctor rings, hopefully the reluctor rings just bolt on and don't need a wheel swap!
