Hi there,
I purchased an 'Oxford Rainex Deluxe Outdoor Waterproof Motorcycle Cover Topbox Extra Large CV508' three years ago. I'ts been outside over my bike for all that time, except when I use the bike(!), which is two or three times a month.
The black, (front) material is good and solid and does it's job perfectly well. However, the rear and lower part of the cover is made from a VERY thin, silver material which is incredibly flimsy. So much so, that five times in the last three years, when lifting the cover off the back of the bike, the silver material has just ripped horizontally. I fixed it 4 times with gaffer tape but now the latest tear has gone all the way across.
I wrote to Oxford and sent photos, and they came back saying "'tough sh*t', it's wear and tear. We're not interested". £80 and they're not interested!? Well, I'm suddenly not interested in Oxford products with that attitude.
Clearly, their 'Deluxe' cover is not fit for purpose.
Can you suggest another make of cover I may be able to buy which bypasses Oxford's offerings?
