New guy here from the states, so be easy on me. I contacted Mark at Cymarc to inquire if he could make a trimmed down version of his rear stainless rack that I could mount a Pelican box. I didn't want the side tie down part. Mark was nice enough to show me a version that he made for someone else that met my needs.
After recieving it I decided to figure out how to mount a Bags Connection tank bag with the quick release mount and stainless hardware to it to use as a tail bag to carry a pump, tire repair kit and what ever else. I wont bore you with all the prototype stuff I made, but here is the final version. I found a hunk of carbon plate and and water cut it to fit, milled the recess for the Roundel which my HP2 Sport donated.
I have 2 different bags, the DayPack 2 and an Engage Sport that both fit nicely and look cool (IMO) too. Once the bags are mounted, the stainless plate dissapears.

What a great idea, nicely adapted..
For me I think a slightly different variation on that bags connection... I will look at mounting a connection ring on my vario top box, it would enable me to use the bigger tank bag & the one you used both at the same time, I'm currently touring & can see the usefulness of an extra bag for quick release..
