Am now on my 3rd R1200RT and with this one I get pain in my knees after 90 minutes of riding. The seat is in the high position, but I do not have the inside leg to survive with the taller seat option so either Wunderlich or MV Verholen kits appear to be the options.
Anyone tried them, do they impact on shifting gear or using the rear brake?

Cheers Richard, will have a butchers

For what it's worth Karl I felt the same when I moved to my RTLC. I'm 6' with a 32"/33" inside leg. My previous bike was a Multistrada with lowered pegs and I felt badly cramped on the RT - though I REALLY loved the bike and my mates all reckon I'm more "progressive" on it than I was on the MTS.

I looked into lowering kits but concluded that nobody had figured out how to properly adjust the brake and gear levers - especially on a bike with the quick-shifter fitted.

I decided to wait and now, 3,500 miles later, I find the bike a dream to ride.

Persist - you may find the same...

Yes fitted mine three months ago. It's the Wunderlich set from nippys.

Brilliant design has no impact on brake or gear change.

Comfort for a 6'4" long pod vastly improved.

No negatives to report at all, except the price, but once fitted you realise why they cost a bit.

Did 2000miles in a week, I will be getting a peg lowering kit. Should have ordered a set at Motorrad days but in Germany again in a month and they are much cheaper in Euros than via Nippy Normans.

Dave - do you have the quick-shifter fitted. I was under the impression that stopped the gear lever being adjusted. Am I wrong?

Hi Richard, yes I do have the quick shift fitted and yes you are wrong, it's a simple locknut and adjuster arrangement. Takes less than a minute to do.
