R1250 GSA, OE Headlight protector

I’ve just swopped my 1200 LC for a 1250 GSA. On the 1200 I fitted a BMW OE headlight protector. I removed this prior to the swop thinking that I would fit it to the GSA.

I had fitting instructions for the 1200. It’s a fiddly but relatively easy job. I am sure the same protector will fit the 1250, but the front fairing/beak arrangement is completely different to the 1200, and try as I might (BMW uk, Internet, etc), I cannot find any instructions to assist me.

The headlight has to come out so that the protector fittings can be installed, and I can’t see how to do this.
Has anyone else fitted one to a 1250? And if so, can you point me in the right direction or advise me how to do it?

Thanks Stevie, - those are the instructions I've got for the 1200, but the front end of the 1250 GSA is completely different.

May not worry you but they are for off road use only . I got stopped in N Wales and the Copper gave me a warning … but that is north Wales for you and I suppose he was rite , but a bit OTT
