have been looking at the new r 1300rs ,i like the look of it has anyone on here had a test ride on one yet if so what are your views , i think i could have been tempted, but with my knee surgery coming up in the next few weeks dont know how i will be for riding after it , hopefully i will be ok and be able to continue riding .

My bike is booked into Duffy's Motarrad for a service on Thursday coming.
I'm going to see if they have a demo and try and book a spin.

I ride the RS not because I do a load of "Touring".......it's because I'm physically unable to ride a sportsbike.
So the move a little sportier.....doesn't really bother me.

supposed to be big improvements in the suspension ,gearbox quickshifter also has the blind spot mirrors and radar front and back , and a new chassis
I have no interest in the radar gubbins.......maybe I would if I used the bike as my main form of transport.

just returned from a demo ride on the 1300rs, i rode the sports version, first impressions i was very disappointed, the engine noise at low revs is tractor like, the gear box whines with the straight cut gears, the changes with the quick shifter are intermittently very clunky and not smooth at all, in my opinion my 2023 rs 1250 ride is far smoother ,you can notice the increase in the power and it seems to steer quicker than mine ,the sports is fitted with the billet stubby levers for me they are way too small and uncomfortable to use , for me it is too noisy in the engine and gearbox , i was told the auto transmission rs was better to ride ,but at present i am happy with mine
