I can remember when a basic retailed for £5600 brand new.

So can I. What was the name of the dealer just off the Mile End road in London? One of the first dealers to get into overland and Dakar race replicas.They were bringing in low mileage ones from Germany. I bought a bike with a Kalahari tank off them. I sold it on to fund a R1100 GS.

I remember BrackenWM from St James Road south London. Used to buy my BM bits from them many many years ago.
I worked just around the corner on the Old Kent Road. You'l have to ask him if that was his place before the Mile End road.
