Great project - I’m one of the many watchers now - but anything that has lived a life near salt water, is likely going to throw up some challenges.

Nice early r80g/s …..will need a complete refurb, but will be worth the time and effort …..
As long as it doesn’t go for too much.
Watching….

Feckin' rough is that...only a Mikeyboy refurb could save it !! 😳
You are getting too precious Kenny😁
My ribena bike looks worse than that now and its still used.

Interesting one, you could either do the basics to get it running for comparatively little money and ride it as is, or do a full resto and factor another 10 to 20k on it depending on whether you did it yourself or paid someone else to do it. Watching with interest. Looks a nice bike tho

Do you know why it was cancelled?
I’m sure this very same bike wa up on eBay about 6-12 months ago…..
Cannot remember what happened as I didn’t have it on a watch list.
I could be wrong on that but the photos seem familiar.

It looks very much as if a member of the Airheads Association UK ( fb group) has bought it. He posted today that he’s aquired a new G/S and it looks suspiciously like this one. He’s a serial restorer!
For FB users this is a great group with some very active members. We have an annual holiday. Last year was Northumberland, the year before, Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire. Some tasty bikes get ridden.
