Hi all.. help needed.... pretty please..

When the bike is on the side stand, i'm unable to start the bike.. I know this is a safety feature, stop's idiots like me looking a :tosser when i pull away and take the left hander out of my drive..

BUT! Is there anyway to either disconnect the cut-out totally or ideally be able to start the bike on the sidestand but cut-out when either the clutch is pulled in, or first engaged like on most bikes? It's a pain.. Just nice to let the bike idle for a minute in the morning or when putting my lid on..

Sure, use the centre stand, but i prefer the side stand when i'm just stopping for a second or two..

Many thanks.

Jon

...Of course there is......short the switch out.....as I did on my 1100`s.

Best and easiest done at the plug, just under the rider`s seat.....

There is a better way......

Connect a relay in parallel to your neutral switch and the side stand cut out wires to the relay contacts.

When your neutral light is on, the relay closes and shorts the side stand cut out switch. Takes about 1/2 an hour to do.

This fails safe.- If you put it in gear, the relay opens as the neutral light goes out so you can't dirve off with the side stand down. If the relay fails then your back to where you started with the enhine cutting out when the stand is down.

Also means you can warm the enginr up on side stand and don't have to stop the engine to open a gate, go for a pee etc.

Especially useful if you ABS likes to play up on start up.

Cracking! Just the perfect solution i was looking for. Many thanks Sea Lion. I like the idea of failing safe.
