Just for info - if you did not know - and have problems removing the battery from above
The Bike had correct full sized BMW Battery - the usual problem - I could not get the battery out from above, (even after removing the bolts that attach the sub frame)
so I removed the airbox - if you do remove the airbox covers remove the LHS one first as the right one is bolted on to the engine - remove the LHS cover and then you can unbolt the RHS cover
Both covers are also 'spring clipped" in halfway along the bottom edge using metal strip which is bolted to the top of the gearbox - so ideally you need to pull them horizontally to free them
