I did having spent many a pissed evening watching Rab in my yoof....best line was from mary hen - on an island full of fannies, if I saw footsteps and knew they belong to two dicks Rab etc etc...brilliant!! :lol:

Not vintage Rab by any measure, but still pretty funny though. As a one off it worked well, but it wouldn't be enough to build a new series around IMO.

Stopped watchin Rab efter the furst series,when it really wiz wurth watchin bit noo it's pretty piss poor patter way a few guid lines.

Just caught up with it on iPlayer. Some funny lines but not something I would bother watching over and over unlike STILL GAME which I think is among the top Scottish Comedy programmes and I could and do watch them repeatedly.

I wish STILL GAME would start a new series instead of that DEAR GREEN PLACE rubbish.

I have to agree, Still Game and Chewing' the Fat are better than either Rab or Dear Green Place.

Mind you, they are both funnier than one if it were based in Edinburgh or Anstruther!
