In a strange sort of coincidence type thing, I live not too far from RAF Shawbury which has in it's vicinity both Stanton and Harcourt.

we used to sit and chat and she would tell me all about them days.RESPECT

Bradwell Grove Hospital
I used to work for a Security Company that operated out of Bradwell Grove Hospital, near Burford. Up to 1997 the buildings were all still there. The site was owned by the family that owned Burford wildlife park. The buildings were really eerie to walk around and when we got into the morgue the marble slab was still in place, it was a building about 12ft x 15ft, no fridges just the slab of marble.
There was also loads of furniture from the days as a mental institution still laying around.
They used a few of the buildings for filming the film they made about the Falklands, with some of the buildings interiors made up to look like the inside of a ship.

you where very lucky.
i did a band photo shot there a farmer turned up with a shotgun in his landrover warning us not to go of the public right of way and being quite pushy.
i didnt like the way he behaved and so called the police after he went.
