Does anyone know off hand what size Oxford Aquatec rain cover fits the GS with a top box on?

I want a lightweight cover to take around with me. These look suitable.

Cheers

I use the xl in the Oxford Protex Stretch if that’s any help.

I have a Rainguard Lightweight Waterproof Adventure Motorcycle Cover in 'Large'which I bought earlier this year for £15.95 on Amazon. It fits a GS LC with full vario luggage quite comfortably and packs down to an easy to stow size. Mine lives in my top box so it's always on hand. The only criticism I have is that it looks very expensive, but it covers the bike completely so passing Herberts can't tell what's under it.

Just to add: I've often covered the bike immediately after riding with no ill effects from the hot engine or exhaust. I don't use it at home, so it doesn't have a particularly hard life.

Thanks for that. I'm going to look into it. Like you it'll mostly be for when I park up somewhere. The less visible the better.

Cheers

You will also need a wood batten from screen top to top box. Otherwise the cover will collect a huge puddle of water in the middle that gradually dribbles and percolates down to the bike underneath.

I've got one of Nippy's covers which is excellent but no lightweight and doesn't travel well as it's too big to stash on the bike when not in use.

However, it does collect water if un-battened but it never seeps through to the bike. Expensive at circa £70 but top quality and highly recommended.

My previous bike was parked outside under a basic nylon cover that cost £12. Covers lasted up to 2 years and were not 100% waterproof but they did not allow the bike to fester under a damp plastic bag.
