Not sure if this is the coprrect place to ask but here goes:

Used this on my Arai visor for the first time a couple of weeks ago in France (as wipes) and was very impressed - it made a real difference riding through a downpour on the way back to Calais. I have subsequently bought a bottle which clearly states that it should not be used on plastic - any thoughts?

I thought Rain-X would have worked wonders on visors, but found it to be very poor. Didn't think much of Mr Sheen or Pledge either.

I use a good normal car polish now, and that seems to work better :thumb2

Al :thumb2

I used it once some years ago. Gave the visor a slight tint. I use Plexus now which does make a difference.

Cheers
Mark

I thought there were two different versions of rain-x, one for plastic (i.e. visors) and one for glass (i.e. cars).

I too tried Rain X on my visor but didn't think much of it. Just use polish now same as Blackal.

rain X is brill on the car though :thumb

I found it made things positively dangerous..much much worse!

Just bought SWMBO a new Arai from H.Gericke. Whilst talking to the salesman he related a story about a customer who'd just had a warrantly claim refused. His sin ? polishing his helmet with furniture polish, according to said salesman, it attacks the plastic side pods and visor on Arais. Oh, and there's apparently a warning in the user manual :nenau .

Stands by for loads of "been polishing my helmet with pledge for two milleniums, never had a problem etc" posts.:D

Used rain x on my old helmets visor, it took the anti scratch coating off :blast
