Joking apart,the Hein Gericke Tuareg gear has special washing instructions,regarding the temperature setting,and the addition of a special waterproofing solution which you add to a tumble dry programme.

Best to check up with the supplier or an H-G outlet.

No - instructions say mild deteregent - mine comes up like new using the same stuff I wash my socks in!

I think it's conditioner that screws up the wicking/water prooffing effectivness... get down your outdoor shop and buy some NitWax wash and re proofing .

Non biological and away you go. Mines two years old and like new. Technix it after a wash with the spray on stuff.

Only washed mine once....and that was in non-bio. Looked grand.

Only beef i've got with the rallye 2 stuff is the 'red' is turnin' a lovely 'orange' colour. Asked BVM about it last week, and they said "...they all do that ,sir.."

Get the Fairy or Lux tablets. (Ithink that's what they are called). Non-bio, mild. works great.
