The RAM ball part# RAM-B-236 is used by many independent 'specialist' mount providers, such as Migsel, Telferizer and Bike-Quip to name a few.
The part # RAM-B-236 now look likes this ...
It has two side flats for getting a spanner across it ... to tighten it up, spec is still 3/8" - 16 ... but has longer male thread post and its previous version
