ram mount / ball info /wanted

a couple of clues

Dickie,

Unless I have missed an earlier thread

what is the Garmin GPS that you have ?.

Are you using a Garmin cradle kit ?.

If its a 12GS/GSA then a RAM u-bolt and shim adaptor RAP-319 is often used on the rail oabove the clocks, look in this section of the forum to view examples.

I would have sent to a pm but your membership has limited privileges.

hi ram man

sorry yes it is a 2610 on a gsa ,but i have at preasent i have a tt lockable mount (of old gs) was wanting to mount behind screen as i want to use gs tank bag (needed swop for tt one part x may be) and i aint 100% happy that they are totally water proof,so any photo and part no will be very useful ,cheers dicky. ps thanks to you all for the help (chin up doggys not just for christmas but if it was its only twelve weeks off)

its all in the balls

Dickie,

the clues help.. so look at RAM-B-149ZA (short arm u-bolt mount) with RAP-319 , get a rubber strip, thumb width wide and 2 to 3" long and wrap around oval rail above clocks, and attach on LHS of clocks. The diamond base on the mount will locate onto the underside of the TT cradle (remove clamp clips) and re-use screws. A power lead for 2610 (if needed) is Garmin 010-10495-02
If at later date you use a RAM GA9 cradle , then same kit and diamond base if you venture for a Garmin cradle, then replace diamond base with either RAM-B-202 or newer and better option is RAM-B-347.
