Hello,

I'm about to order some RAM bits from GPSW but just wanted some advice before I take the plunge.

I have my TTR2 attached above the clocks on my 07GSA using the RAM arm that came with the TTR2 and then one of these ...

http://www.migsel.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=9

(using this ball I think - RAM-B-236 : 3/8" -16 thread).

It all works well, the satnav is nice & high so I'm not in danger of sailing into a skip whilst reading directions.

Next I want to mount my new toy next to it - a bullet-cam solidstate recorder. I don't want to mount the cam on the RAM, only the recorder which is the size of a small phone (4 inches x 2 inches). Its one of these litlle fellas ....

http://www.4kam.com/4Kam_DV3_DVR_digtal_video_recorder.htm

I'd like to mount it horizontally next to the TTR2 (it needs to be horizontal to see the screen - i.e. you'd mount most phones vertically to see their screens).

So I think I need the following ....

Another ball - RAM-B-236 (I think)
An arm just like the one I got with my TTR2 - RAM-B-201 (I think)
and then something like this : a base mount - RAM-B-347 or RAM-B-202

I'm not looking for a dedicated PDA-type mount, I plan to simply velcro the recorder directly onto the base mount. I'm not bothered about waterproofness and I won't film in the rain. I need the recorder's tiny & fiddly buttons to be open & accessible for operation on the move. I also want to be able to remove it quickly if I park the bike (unplug, remove from velco and its in my pocket safe & sound).

Does this sound good, am I ordering the right bits, is there a better solution that can make use of my (quite expensive but quality & already installed) migsel mount ?

Cheers and sorry for going on a bit.

Hi,

I would like to know where the RAM-B-236 has been attached on the GSA or have you used this with a Migsel bracket part ? Post a pic, please.

To attach and come off the same mount arm, then why not adapt the arm into a T-ball joint by adding RAM-B-273 to get this

onto this ball joint add another arm, RAM-B-201 with diamond RAM-B-238 onto PDA cradle RAM-HOL-PD2 and use on its side, two claws on bottom, single sprung loaded claw at top.
