I have in the past experienced this smell and certainly after lots of slow riding practise. On that bike it did have a slipping clutch and if I rode at about 80 in 5th gear and rolled on the revs would rise with either none or sllghtly delayed forward momentum!
So yesterday I went to Silverstone (Stowe Circuit) IAM Skills Day and pretty much rode each 20 minute track session in 2nd gear with NO use of clutch and only after gaining experience did I explore heavier braking ( then it rained in afternoon, so the braking was slightly less ) ANd every time i finished a session there was this Rancid Smell that can be induced by excessive slipping the clutch!!!???
I have recently done the 80 in top and roll on test so I dont think I have a slippng clutch.
Any help with diagnosis please?
