Does anybody know of a Company in the London area that will re-condition Showa shocks for my Adventure?

It is now starting to go, after 25000 miles and I am very reluctant to part with 400 squid when I can get my OE shock re-conditioned as good as new for around 150.

I know of a company in Newport [www.mojo.co.uk] that does them and MHRacing in Wilts, but anywhere closer to home would be much better.

Help.

Try ABE ( i think thats the right name ) in blackwall tunnel approach, Greenwich, they can rebuild as standard or custom set up, sorry no phone number with me at moment :beerjug:

Rugbug,

First of all, go to your dealer & get them to replace it! Your Adv is still under warranty (unless it's an import) and you should get a new shock - I did at 19k (I think) - no quibble.

Mike:)

Mike,

thanks for your advice, but i think 25,000 miles and 18 months might be pushing it for a warranty replacement [or am i wrong??]

i can't see how i would be able to get it past them. the shock hasn't 'gone off' completely anyway, but the bike has definitely started to sit back around corners, much more so than it did, say, two months ago, to the point where i know that i cannot push it hard round corners as i know the rear will just come away.

will talk to Sawbridgeworth, but i think i'll be flogging a dead horse there.

anyway, I still want to find out about suspensions re-builds.

If you need to deal with mojo in Newport they're only about 5 miles from me.

I've not heard of them before but if you need any help with them just get in touch.

Cheers Rob,

small problem of living 200 miles from Newport though (east Herts), otherwise I'd be there like a shot!!

I'd say this: they definitelty know their stuff!! And FoxShox are good value.
