re-sizing photos?

Forgive me cos I'm totally thick when it comes to anything technical but how do you re-size photos so I can them attempt to upload them onto here? Can any answers be done very slowly cos you'll lose me at the first step! Ta.

Open the photograph with Microsoft Picture Manager and then click Edit and Resize.

With a Mac its easy....

choose picture in iPhoto
click file then export
when Export Photo box drops down...file export...then just change sizes etc and export to desktop.....to attach to GSer...click attachments...choose file......find your photo on desktop and upload...simples

If you use a host such as Photobucket you don't need to resize, Photobucket takes care of the size, you just upload.
