We are due a meeting on Wednesday 19th April - however, to save on brownie points, I was thinking we could meet up with the Oxfordshire tossers on Thursday 20th April instead ?

Mapsource tells me the shortest route is around 1hr 15mins from Reading (Savacentre M4 J12) so leaving around 18.15(ish)

What do you Reading area meeting regulars think?

I'll meander along. Never been to a meeting anyway so more the merrier.

I was planning on being at both meetings, so nice one Clive, you've saved me about 90 miles :thumb

see you in my neck of the woods

It'd be a great excuse to use the Downs road from Chievely to Wantage!
OK - how about leave Savacentre filling station (N51 26.475 W1 03.660) at 6.30 (it's only 50 minutes this route), M4 to J13 then B4494 to Wantage etc ?

The Radcot location is about an hour's ride from home, which would at least mean the bike properly warmed up for a change!

The down side is that it would mean I arrived at the meet even later than I do now! So, I'll have to see what time I get home from the office on First Slug Western.

And if the weather is crap Sharan might want to come along... :D

Scrap this idea - I'll be working in Bath Thursday so I'll be going directly to the Swan at Radcot - see you all there :thumb

Excuses

Neil, That has got to be the best/worst reason for not goinig out on your bike, I've got to meet with the Prime Minister!!!
Pat. :bow :bow :bow :bow

I can't make tonight :( my little man has got chicken pox and is suffering a bit with it.

So sorry to you all Reading and Oxfordshire tossers. I'll see you next time :thumb

Titch

Well I made it and I'm told a few others from the Reading mob did too - saw most of them going the other way as I was heading towards the Swan!!

Difficult to see a wave in the dark, but I tried...

Somewhere closer in May, please, otherwise our paths are likely to cross in a similar way again!!

Cheers

It was a bit of a one off - hopefully the Oxfordshire crew will choose dates away from the 3rd Wednesday :)
Does anyone want to suggest a new venue for our monthly meet? - although I can't actually make the May meet as I'll be in Spain
