I have had a search and can not find the answer I want, so.....

I have a 2010 GSA with ABS.

What pads should I go for?
Does having ABS make a difference to the choice?
In this instance I needs rears.

The Dealer reckons EBC are too abrasive, and that Brembo pads would be a better choice.

Many thanks in advance

Have a word with Steptoe, he can sell you a full set of Ferodo pads for the entire bike for less than a single pair of OEM front pads.

On a German review of pads, the OEM items came out poorly for feel, wear and stopping power, whilst Ferodo were recommended.

A sintered blend of pad material has metal particles in it, which will stop well even from cold but will eat your disks.

"Eating disks"

That reminds me that apparently at 4.47mm my rear disks are below the recommended 4.5mm.
Gonna sit that one out for at least another 0.5mm, and then another 0.5mm, unless I start to feel a warp :)

Just worked out that Steptoe is gsshop :blast

On my previous bike, sintered HH front pads would go for 15K miles when organic lasted for 5K. This made sintered less costly even when new discs were factored in. In reality, disc wear wasn't an issue so HH was a win win win - better stopping, less cost and the discs seemed to last ok.

+1 on the ferodo good price and good pads. Definitely don't put HH pads on the rear unless you know they are on the front.

I use Steptoe's Ferodo's and they are excellent. Great stopping power and longevity.:thumb2
