Rotational - yes.

Movement in the plane of the wheel - No. (I believe)

I'll take this .
There shouldn't be any (non rotational) play, if there is it could be either the paralever bearings or the big wheel bearing (in the first case you can get rid of it easily). If you do a search you'll find plenty of literature.
