Rear seat lug snapped!

Anyone else had this? Had my fair maiden on the back and the seat started moving around. The lug at the front had broken.

And no, before you ask, she isn't a whale

I can't say I've heard, or read, anyone having this problem so I guess you've been unlucky.

I had it happen on the front seat.........but in fairness it was because I lost my temper and threw it across the garage after it wouldn't click into place.

Yes, dealer wouldn't have any of it. Claimed it must have been down to some sort of seat abuse.

How can they refuse to do the repair under warranty, even if it was down to abuse how would they know or prove otherwise. Is the bike still rideable safely?
