Rear Shock Help!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me? i have an 1100gs with 38000 miles on the original shock! Going to Italy soon, two up with luggage. Can anyone tell me where i can get a cheep used rear shock, or if there is anything i can do with the original one? Any info would be great!

I just happen to have a Technoflex rear shock for an 1100 for sale, £160 plus P&P

Fully adjustable and rebuildable.

Steptoe knows someone in the SE, or there's Caledonian Engineering in Glasgow. Both of these will take your original "non-rebuildable" shock & refurbish it, making it rebuildable in the process. Cost is around £100ish & both seem to be reputable people to deal with, though I've no personal experience.

Try eBay, I've just bought a brand new, boxed, original BMW R1100GS rear shock for £127.
