Another question about the 1150GS. The remote adjuster on the rear shock has siezed. Took off the plastic cover and the adjusting bolt can be turned down (c/wise) fairly easily but has no resistance coming up. I assume that the piston is jammed in the bore and that it can be pushed down OK but has too much stiction to return once the bolt is unscrewed.
Have soaked the internals with freeing oil for about 4 weeks but piston still jammed. Noticed that the adjuster has banjo bolt connector so was thinking of removing the banjo bolt and forcing piston up using compressed air. Not sure How I would re-prime the system after this but it must be possible as the shock was assembled somewhere when it was new.
Does anyone know if there is anyway of getting at the piston seal in the remote adjuster.
