Hi,

Can anyone clarify whether these two items are the same ?

I was reading this thread:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69015&page=11

And earlier on in the thread he says: "the Boxer Works adjustable rear strut link. Super bling, but a very stout and functional part for rear drive alignment"

He then appears to later refer to this 'very stout and functional part' as "the adjustable tubular aluminum lower torque link was a bit too flimsy for serious offroad use"

Is he refering to the same part, or someother part on the bike ?

He also says: "I got a hold of Jim Rowley at M.A.P. Engineering, and got a billet torque arm"....now..I'm pretty sure that he is refering to this part:

He says: "Jim's torque arm is ~3/4" shorter than the original BMW stamped POS, and the Rowley part alters the rear geometry a bit to alleviate the kink in the rear drive/paralever junction. It also raises the rear end a bit (about 1/2") to help level off the bike.

Now for the interesting questions....

1) What is the Rowley part ??
2) Is that torque arm really 3/4" shorter ??

Cheers.

dont know but it looks nice :nenau

Aha, that explains what he means by "the Rowley part"....

Has anyone fitted one of these or something similar ?

How much shorter are they than standard ?

Cheers.

Hi,

I just wondered if anyone has fitted one of these or something similar ?

I'd like to know how much shorter are they than standard and whether there are any drawbacks ?

Cheers.

Ok...just read through the first few pages of results.

My next question is....

Do other models with boxer engines ie. RT, S, RS have the same paralever and if so do they have the same length swinging arm ?

:)
