Well we're nearly there with the rebuild.

Got the leading link, forks and lower bridge refurbed and painted up. Fitted it all together and everything lined up beautifully. :) :)

Put the front wheel on and rolled her off the centre stand. Pushed her outside and up the garden path. Unfortunetly I can hear the brake discs rubbing in places which I suspected they would. :( :(

So can anyone recommend replacement discs. Heard bad things about EBC and BMW OEM discs. Are the new discs as bad as the old 2 valve ones. I must admit the discs on my R1100S BCR don't seem to cause me any concerns.

Thoughts and links to suppliers would be appreciated.

PFM cast iron discs from Motorworks. Had them on mine for about 6000 miles now and have to say they are a definite improvement on OE discs.
Also work as a top anti theft device. If you park the bike in the rain overnight they look so rusty any potential theif assumes the bike is broken down and has stood for ages so ain't worth nicking :D

I''ve got EBC discs on my 1200 and they've been fine so far. Only done about 500 miles with em though :)

I haven;t noticed anyting bad about the OE discs either, apart from the price! :D
