Hiya peeps,
I am a day away from Moscow (going on lash for the weekend:beer:) and would like a half decent hotel not too far from the action with bike parking and internet, ooooo and an ac. Have done enough camping at 35C+ with 70% humidity and require a long weekend luxury break, before riding for home.

I stayed at the hilton it's north of red square but it's walking distance, we got B+B rate, secure parking, some hotels are funny about walkin bookings they may need to have your passport details to log in if your not already registered as being in the country... it's near the football ground and the horse track thing.

loads of bars on route to red square and there a massive shopping complex the other side of read square....

best of luck

the size of some peoples budgets worry me.... savoy, hilton... walk in rack rates!! eeekk though if you can get the eye of someone in the inside... good discount to be had!!! stayed in bucuresti marriot... junior suite for 60 euro! though the klm stewardesses were going at it all night in the next room!!

Mmmm...that's interesting that you apparently did not book a hotel in advance while you were in Russia! I thought we must have invites for every night to spend in Russia for visa requirements or otherwise Russian officials may get edgy if you travel carefree in Russia without any accommodation booked in advance. Anyway I wonder if camping is permissible for carefree travellers anywhere in Russia. Where did you camp by the way?
