I'm looking for a new sleeping bag. I don't winter camp (unless I'm fishing and I have a bag for that) but would like something warm enough for say April or October. I don't have a silly budget at the moment so am looking at £50 or £60 tops. Any recs?

All you'll need here .

Costco do a sleeping bag it's about that sort of money and plenty good enough for what you want.

I can't see a vango 7.

I was looking at the outwell ones but I don't think they pack very small. I've also seen snug pack bags recommended elsewhere.

I do prefer a square bag to the mummy type if possibe

Try "Snugpak", I've got some of their kit and really pleased with it. They have the MOD contract for some kit. Good price and quality...

Yes I did see snugpack recommended elsewhere. Which one though? 'The Navigator' is a square rather than mummy one

I've had mine a few years now, I think sleeper xtreme is the nearest equivalent. Lightweight, small pack size, harwearing and its not nylon inside so you dont get sweaty, if you know what I mean ;-)
