Lake Bled - Nice spot but very commercial, I stayed at Penzion Mayer,Zeleska c. 7, Bled 4260, Slovenia. About 40eur a night

Really nice spot family run B&B and quite reasonalby priced. Safe parking outside and 5mins stroll to town centre.

Bovec - More my kinda place than Bled, very rural and heaven for outdoors fanatics with whitewater rafting, mountineering etc etc along with great roads to get lost in and explore.

I stayed at Hotel Alp, cheap Soviet style, right in centre of town and can park bike under cover outside front door. About 30 eur a night.

Both Bled and Bovec have enough restaurants/bars etc not to get bored with one night.

I really liked Slovenia but never spent long enough there.
