...that's not silly money please.

I normally wear a touring boot (Alpinstars) and take a size 10 boot. I have wide feet and large calves so I find the longer shank boot is either too tight on the calf and/or I cannot get the foot "round the bend". If I find a good fit on the calf my feet wallow around in an oversize boot.

Out are TCX, Sidi and BMW's GS boot - and recommendations?

Cheers

I wear Wulf Motocross boots, reasonably priced and quite tough.

Morticia :beerjug:

Thanks. I'll check out Wulf but the Sidi's I've tried don't fit I'm afraid :comfort

That I can believe, some of them are for narrow feet, although the Adventure appears to be a fairly wide fitting. Don't think it would cope well with a large calf though.

Went for these in the end. A bit steep so they will hope it will prove a good investiment

Two lessons I learned (thanks to good advice from this place) about MX/Enduro boots:

1. Usually you need a size or half a size up
2. They're hard as nails, so used ones are almost always a better bet unless they've been absolutely battered.

I bought a pair of Alpinestars Tech 8s from Clod. Worn about five times, £130. :thumb2

try the w2 boots , they are like hush puppies and waterproof.

price is good too and dont need breaking in dead comfy they are..:thumb
